You are only as strong as your weakest link.

True. Unless of course your weakest link is highlighted and loud. Then your detriments become something of a strength. You start to achieve sustained progress through constant enhancements. In other words, when your weaknesses are systematically addressed you (or your product) has nowhere to go but up.

As our loyal readers may know, we are extremely excited by our near launch of Saber Blast 2.0. The new features are robust, flexible, and easy to use. However, if it wasn’t for our constant customer feedback, our weak links would still exist.

That’s why, when looking back at our dev cycle, I’m so appreciative for our clients heavy usage of Saber Blast since day 1. Their negative feedback was always top priority for new feature enhancements.

For example, our client had huge lists of up to 60,000 emails. He had to manually import a new CSV file to Saber Blast each day because his list grew at such a rapid place. This ended up taking him quite a lot of time and was a major pain point. We solved this problem by creating an embeddable widget which automatically added all new email signups directly into the specified email list on Saber Blast. No more futzing around with CSVs!

Our nimble developers would typically implement the feature requests like this in 45 minutes. Not only did this help eliminate possible blind spots in development, but helped us gain the trust of our customers.

Saber Blast failed forward. We want to continue this path of development. We’re going to be thinking of more creative ways to get customer feedback (via form, widget, etc.) moving forward!

    Yeah, feedback is definitively the way to go.

    And embracing negative feedback and transforming it in your next good thing is an invaluable skill. Most people tends to deny or reject negative feedback because consumes so much energy, but at the same time, is your only hope for your blind spots.

    In the other hand, that default behavior, is exactly what makes this skill to be also a market opportunity. Capitalizing on that make sense in many many ways (even more than profit alone!)
